Born to a Pakistani father and English mother, he moved to the UK in 1979. Ben had the privilege of a private education at Rugby School, where he spent his formative years, rising to being Head of School. At Cambridge he studied organic chemistry and gained a Blue in boxing.

He thrived in Thatcher’s Britain, working in finance and then setting up his own property fund management business . As funder and CEO of First Property Group plc, Ben displayed his acumen and leadership skills.
